This family-run restaurant was established in 1999 as “Kokeb Ethiopian Delicatessen”. Initially, Kokeb dealt with Ethiopian herbs, preparing and supplying Ethiopia's famous flat bread, “Injera” /እንጀራ/.
In 2001 in addition to supplying “Injera”, Kokeb began to serve cooked food in the form of takeaways.
2004 saw Kokeb Ethiopian Cuisine become what it is today: a fully licensed restaurant.
In Amharic (Ethiopia's official language), “Kokeb” means 'bright star'. Kokeb Ethiopian Cuisine is a star by the name as well as a star by duty, star by hospitality and star by providing exotic Ethiopian food & service.
We believe Kokeb is the best Ethiopian Cuisine in the town so come along and visit us as we can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
